Being overweight all my life took a toll on me when I was at my highest weight tipping the scale at 325 lbs. and failing health. When my granddaughter was born I knew that I had to do something drastic if I wanted to be around for her and my family. In one year the lapband system has help me lose over 100 lbs. and has saved my life. My one year post surgery physical has brought awesome results with no more diabetes, gout, aching joints, high cholesterol or sleep apnea. I'm normal!!! I am very glad that I decided to have the Lapband operation. Since the operation on March 31, 2011, I have lost 60 pounds. It has been a struggle, but having the Lapband as a tool has helped tremendously. The team at Lovelace Westside Bariatrics has been nothing but helpful, caring, and understanding. Recovery from surgery was almost non-existant! Back to work after 4 days and felt great. Keep up the good work and so will I!!!
